 Drakesboro Kentucky is the home of the "Four Legends" Fountain. Built  in 1992, the Four Legends Fountain honors four pioneers of the "Thumb Picking" style of guitar playing often associated with Bluegrass music. Kennedy Jones, Ike Everly, Mose Rager and Mearle Travis, all of which, have close ties to Drakesboro and Muhlenberg County.
  Located in Central City is the Everly Brothers Monument, Popular thru the years as Rock and Roll singers known for their steel-string guitar playing and close harmony singing.
   There are abundant tourism and recreational attractions in Muhlenberg County.  Lake Malone and the surrounding hardwood forest form Lake Malone State Park.       
   The Paradise Park in Powderly is a replica of a 1920’s coal-mining town and features the birthplace home of the late Merle Travis. It is also the site of Pickin’ in the Park, a free Friday night concert featuring local musicians from June through September.  
   And don’t miss the opportunity to barter at Luke’s Town & Country Flea Market, one of Kentucky’s largest, open every Monday and Tuesday.  
   Fishing and wildlife hunting areas are also very plentiful in this County, with Peabody Wildlife Area being close by.
Golf enthusiasts can tee up at two courses – Central City Country Club, Greenville Country Club.
